ABOUT ME

That's me in the photo with my three daughters! It was so fun to officiate at my own daughter's wedding! It was so fun that I determined right then that I wanted to continue doing weddings for people, hoping to make their weddings just as fun and memorable as my daughter's.

When I say "fun," I don't mean "silly.” I honor the solemn nature of the marriage vows, and I respect the wedding ceremony; however, I truly think that even the most traditional and formal ceremonies can still be fun.

I have been in Christian ministry for over 28 years, serving in large and small churches, overseas, and in ethnically-diverse churches as well. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Wichita State University, and a Master's Degree in Counseling from Denver Theological Seminary.

I'm a fifty-something who loves to hang out with the people I am closest to. I'm a long-time Denver Bronco fan, and I love a good cheeseburger, a good cup of coffee, and a good conversation. Pretty simple, really. I like Van Morrison, John Mayer, and Bonnie Raitt. I'm hooked on the tv cop show, Life, and the Sunday Morning Show with Charles Osgood. I love working with wood, building things, fixing things, and making things new. My favorite movie is an old one (1980s) called The Gray Fox.

Valda and I have been married for over 30 years, and we have three amazing daughters, one very cool son-in-law, a really cute granddaughter, and a handsome grandson.
